General Rules

An open-wheeled ‘stock’ Formula One class and a closed-wheel Modified or ‘Mod’ class will run on alternate months.

Championship points are awarded as follows after each event: 160-130-110-90-80-70-60-50-40-35-30-25-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2-1

The two class championships, a combined championship, junior and adult categories and a combined 'Rookie of the Year' championship run from January to December.

A racer is deemed a 'junior' if they have not reached their 16th birthday by the first race of the championship.

The 'Rookie of the Year' competition is for racers who have not raced in more than 3 HO race events before the start of the season. It runs on a different points system (the same as the Nascar 'Rookie of the Year'): 10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1.

For all classes and chassis:

No part of the car can exceed 34mm in width and 17mm from centreline to sides

Bodies may be ballasted, but ballast must be glued firmly in place.

Racers' cars can be scrutineered at any point during a race event to see they comply and are within the rules.

All scrutineering will be carried out by Who Racing organisers and their decisions will be final.

Maintenance:

Tyres may only be cleaned with tape or by washing in water.

No spray oils, lubricants or cleaners to be used indoors. Use of lighter fluid or any form of tyre treatments is not allowed. The organisers reserve the right to request competitors to use less lubricants if they feel it interferes with others or the condition of the track.

Controllers:

Controllers must terminate with a 3-pin, 2 amp plugs, brake wire connected to the top pin. Our tracks are wired to the worldwide HO standard, with +ve left rail.

Controllers wired for +ve right rail should not be used without consultation with the manufacturer, in all events racers use such controllers entirely at their own risk and we accept no responsibility for any damaged caused
